Tom McShane, Master of Fortitude Lodge 47 F&AM in LaGrange, presented Judged-Executive David Voegele with a contribution from the lodge for the planned statue of Colonel William Oldham. Thus far, more than $100,000 has been raised toward a memorial namesake, Colonel William Oldham and 21 other county residents who fought in the Revolutionary War. The Masonic Lodge is closely associated with much of Oldham County’s historic past. McShane said he would like to challenge all other fraternal and civic organizations in the county to honor our forefathers by making contributions toward the statue.
