Masters Message

It is an honor to serve as Master this 2017 year as Fortitude #47 F&AM readies itself to celebrate our 200th birthday in 2018. I invite you to come to lodge and help us prepare for this monumental celebration.

Every year a newly installed Master comes in with bright ideas and ambitions. We have goals that we would like to attain. I am among those with ambitions.

First, I would like to see the return of the Excellency Award to Fortitude Lodge. In the past we attained it most every year. So let’s work together to attain this prestigious award and return it to our Lodge.

We will once again have a re-obligation night at the lodge. Date to be announced in the near future.

One of our goals will be to continue the bicycle program and increase the number of bicycles that we put in the hands of the children at our local elementary schools.

As I am big on community service, I plan on our Fortitude Brothers to come together and participate this year in the Habitat for Humanity Project. After all, we can not only be speculative masons, but operative masons as well. Let us show the public the tools and skills of a true mason.

The Temple is not yet complete, there is much work to do. This work can only be done with Brotherly love and participation. I invite you to be an active mason and come join us in this venture for 2017.

Look for us out in the community of LaGrange and the Oldham County area. Masonry is ever so universal and masonic charity is ever so extensive.

Fraternally thine,

Harold Blandford
